Our partner MAM (Medical Action Myanmar) now runs seven clinics in the poorest suburbs of Yangon and remote provinces of Myanmar. We regularly pay their treatment costs, thereby ensuring their continued existence. These clinics treat the destitute, mainly children and mothers, free of charge. Many of the people are extremely malnourished, which is why they are given nutritious food. The clinics also offer counseling in family planning and in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. The inflow of sick people is still very high, more than 200,000 people a year at present. Although the costs per treatment amount to only CHF 7, almost a million Swiss francs are needed per year to keep all these clinics running. We want to support as many as we can. TREATMENTS COSTS MAM CLINICS CHF 7 | EUR 6 per treatment CHF 900,000 | EUR 840,000 per year
